While a gemstone, this gem is known for its extreme strength and durability. It exceeds the strength provided by diamonds, making this gem one of the best materials to use in tools. When used as a handle, it seems to provide extreme strength, but while used as a primary material, it seems to gain efficient properties over strong properties.

Overview[]

Serendibite is an exceedingly tough ore that spawns at the end of the slate layer, between 996m and 999m. It is fairly common and awards 20,000 XP when mined. The player must be at least Professional rank to be able to mine this.

Due to its hardness, strong pickaxes like Amethyst, Mithril, and Newtonium are recommended for extracting this ore. Alternatively, the Marketplace is a good source of Serendibite, and other players might be willing to trade Serendibite for more valuable resources.

Uses[]

Serendibite is used in a variety of base station upgrades and pickaxes, usually in small amounts.

Base Stations[]

A total of 66 Serendibite is required for upgrading Mining Operation, Data & Analysis, the Marketplace, and Research & Development.

  • Mining Operation level 13: 5 Serendibite.
  • Data & Analysis level 12: 25 Serendibite.
  • Marketplace level 6: 10 Serendibite.
  • Marketplace level 9: 25 Serendibite.
  • Research & Development level 5: 1 Serendibite.

Pickaxes[]

Serendibite is largely used to craft the Boomite, Amethyst, Mithril, and Serendibite pickaxes.

Trivia[]

  • In real life, Serendibite is an extremely rare silicate mineral discovered in Sri Lanka and named after the country's old name: Serendib. It is found in tactites associated with boron metasomatism of carbonate rocks.
  • Despite having the same hardness, Element V takes longer to mine than Serendibite due to the depth it is found at, making Serendibite the ore with the second longest time to mine in the game, behind the aforementioned Element V.
